Mental or Physical Health Issues in School

Your mental and mental and physical health needs to be taken seriously. If you find your having academic problems because of health issues, this lesson will give you some advice on how to address it. We’ll talk about how to take full advantage of your school’s academic and health services so that you stay on track with your goals!

  2. Assignment 1: Know your rights. If you have a disability, ANY disability you are protected and have certain rights – that you should not feel ashamed to take advantage of. Read the linked article to learn about protections.

  3. Assignment 2: Create a list of resources your school provides for physical and mental health concerns. These are often free to students, and depending on your situation you may also still be under your parent’s health insurance.

  4. Assignment 3: Watch the video below about Loyola’s department. This will give you a sense of what supports are in place at other schools.
