Milestone 2 – Pre-Medical Choices: Leadership and Coursework
You’ve made it to Milestone Two of the mentoring program! Things really start to pick up here, hopefully you’ve all reached out to your mentors, set some SMART goals, and are ready to go into this milestone. If you feel a little behind, no worries! This program is intended to be flexible for both you and your mentor.
If you’re sticking to the roadmap then you should be focusing on leadership, class selection, work experiences, volunteering, research, and graduate school. Basically all the stuff you need to do to qualify and be competitive for your medical school applications. This is a great area to talk to your mentors about. They were in your shoes not too long ago and should have some strategies for you.
